Ron Thomas is retired from Time Inc., where he held a number of positions in Consumer Marketing, Distribution, and Production. He moved from Denver to New York in 1977 after graduating from the University of Denver with a BA in Theater and later received his MBA and JD from Fordham. At Fordham and the New York City Bar Association, he participates in pro bono clinics and gives educational presentations to veterans. He has been a member of the Bioethics and African Affairs committees at the City Bar. He is a member of St. Thomas Fifth Avenue and has established a choristership at the church’s choir school. He has been a proponent of the Great American Songbook all his life and is excited to be a part of Encompass, with its mission of developing new American music, especially theater music.
